It's a lot more interesting when you fight enemies on Wrath difficulty, and you are actually incentivized to use special abilities and the like. One of the big selling points for me is that the game is a fairly large adventure game with a 40 hour campaign and a lot of hidden and side areas. Too many VR games are dinky and refuse to implement decent campaigns. The graphics are nice too, I love the sense of scale it gives especially in Jotunheim.It's probably the best native VR RPG.

You have to at least time your parries on wrath difficulty in order to stun and break armor, and the timing is tight enough that again, it's a good idea to just use abilities when you can. However on easy you can break armor by waggling mindlessly. Not doing the side content seems pointless to me.

The non wiggle games right now are really short. I've played Blade & Sorcery, not much to do there as it's just a physics sandbox. Hellsplit has some pre-set arenas but isn't really a game either. Until You Fall is another basic roguelite that will take maybe five hours to get a successful run for, but the combat is fun at least. I'd recommend that one too if you can get it for cheap. Deals gg has it for $3.65 right now. I'm open if you have recommendations that are longer than five hours.

It reminds me of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup's nettiles a bit. My main complaint is the graphics downgrade to make it work on Quest in the first place. With Skyrim at least, it's a lot more timing based. With something like Blade and Blunt enemies can do a good job at defending to the point where you want to parry them with the physical parry mod to stagger them, or attack them when they are casting a spell or revving up their own attack. Planck lets you physically shove enemies too which sometimes does the trick. If you use an animation pack like Elden Ring those things do get harder. If you flail around on a guy until you waste all of your stamina he'll see that and just hit you back for free.

Q2 only has 1 LCD, but Q3 is back to 2 LCD panels will should make real world FoV way better combined with increased edge clarity from the lenses. how about a controller than can optionally be held with two hands and weighted segments can be added to the ends to fix the issue of weightless melee combat.
you add segments to the front until the weight and balance is roughly equivalent to the weapon you're using.
segments would come in different weights to account for some weapons being long and light, and some weapons being short and heavy.
devs could make games with this in mind and provide weight guides for weapons in-game, or users themselves could create their own guides.

I think the glare is worse than the index, or at least it's more noticeable since the contrast is otherwise much better with the bigmeme's OLED display than the index. it is a shame because the glare shows up in exactly the high-contrast scenes you'd want OLED for in the first place.

I did try turning down the brightness of the bigmeme from the default 100 to like 30 recently, and I actually like it; less bright obviously but it still feels bright enough for my preference, and cuts down the glare.

A year or two ago we had this problem where when we launch a steam game in airlink (now called quest link), it would put you in the blank void steam VR space and show you nothing but mountains and purple night sky. The game may or may not be running on the PC's external view but not in headset. You have to pull up the steam VR menu and launch the game again to get it to work. Present day the problem still exists

I've had that problem since a certain update. It worked perfectly for a few months after I bought it then the retarded updates came in. First the game will start itself first then SteamVR so now I just launch SteamVR first and launch the games from there.
Then it stopped overlaying the airlink menu for desktop mode while in-game. It would literally tab out of the game with the white background.
They actually fixed this just recently but now with the even more VRAM bloat that they somehow added after all that just makes it fucking unusable.
