PSA: If you're a stupid retard who can't weight paint things properly, you can use stenciling to hide clipping issues.

Stenciling is a feature that lets you use layered materials as sort of rendering masks. By setting a compare function between clothing and the body underneath, you can make it so that the clothing will always be shown instead of the body if they're overlapping. This makes minor clipping invisible from most perspectives.

I use poiyomi's shader, which has an additional feature called double-sided stenciling. This means that you can set the front and back faces of a mesh to have different stencil behaviors. I set the stencil behavior such that the outside of the clothing will always be shown over the body, while the flip side of the clothing is unaffected.

It isn't going to fix everything but it does hide the scuffiness a bit. I've never really done skirts because I was always dissatisfied with their janky behavior, but I'm happy at how this one has turned out.

Practice and it's really not that hard. As someone that used mouse and keyboard in every fps for decades, it just takes some getting used to and a day of setting your bindings and configs. At the same time, I would not use hotas in a pvp scenario. I don't play MWO at all though so I don't setup for that. If you want a stick, but also precision aiming, go with HOSAM. You can search that in youtube and people use it on star citizen. I'm still debating getting a gladiator omni throttle and a thumb ball mouse just to try it out.

I'm using the UEVR one. I don't know if it's my stick that's too low quality and accuracy but I'm overshooting targets like super hard. I quickly looked online to find solutions and some people use a program for the stick to emulate a mouse but it changes how it plays in-game where the reticles returns back to center when letting go.
Maybe I just need to play more but goddamn I tried roughly with KBM and it's so easy to keep the crosshair on target in comparison.

What stick have you got? Is it securely mounted or a desktop planter? There is something to be said stick construction having impact. Most cheap sticks are actual garbage with massive hardware deadzones. The bigger the deadzone the larger your minimum adjustment can be. So if you were trying to point the side of a streetlight and then move between the bulbs, you might not be physically capable of doing any less than two bulb widiths.

But I think, if you're routinely overshooting from larger movements, it's most likely a skill issue. A thing people do in elite and other space sims is to manually lock their cursor to an object in space and then practice keeping reticle on that point as they do maneuvers. Should be substantially easier in MW5 since it's only like 3 axis. Pick the top corner of a building and just practice strafing around it while turning toward and away at various zoom ranges.

I have a 3080ti, which is roughly equivalent to 4070 super as far as raw performance goes, and I can easily imagine getting more frames with a better gpu in VR. VR will always benefit from a better GPU, cranking up resolution comes with GPU load first and CPU later, you cannot lose on having a better GPU for VR.

VRChat is not a game. Its like hanging out with irl friends but better in a lot of aspects. Yes you can do other stuff but 90% is basically hanging out with friends.

You need assetto corsa ultimate edition (not competizione), which goes on 90% sales all the time, and you need to learn how to mod it with content manager and pure + aegis (just google those, it takes 20 minutes to set up). Other than that Dirt Rally 2 is good. BeamNG recently got improvements to their VR implementation. Automobilista 2 works the best in VR out of any game, but it's mostly a single player game (it's also the best sim for SP). RaceRoom would be goated immediately, but they use DX4.3 so it's aids to run in VR and fuck them.

g29 shifter is dirt cheap, get one and don't think about it too much. better shifters are only better because they feel nicer, it's not like shifter force feedback system would be improved or something

You can take it easy and think about cool fancy upgrades once you'll get tired of your G29. Not that g29 is any bad (for every direct drive gearfag there is an equivalent 12yo kid beats his ass online while sitting on a garden chair and using a broken g27) but I bet buyfag urges will kick in once you're into it for a couple years. Plus in all honesty every other wheel even within the same price bracket (say, t300) is quieter, faster, and with better feel on FFB, but that's really not a huge concern, G27/29 is a perfectly usable wheel and it won't let you down. So, for now enjoy your perfectly alright wheel and have lots of fun, buy a cheapo g29 shifter that should cost you around $50 new, and then think about possible future upgrades only when you've accumulated enough knowledge to know what you need and what you want.

An Anon here complained that EmuVR only has a bedroom as an environment and that New Retro Arcade Neon is pretty old now, so I decided to give a try to a new alternative, Arcade Time Capsule.
From the start it was pretty lackluster. It only has teleport locomotion and snap turning and doesn't have netplay support (neither lobby nor playing games) nor light gun support. The list of games is fixed, and they didn't add any 3D game despite using MAME and it kinda supporting some of them now (you need a beefy PC but that should be a given in this general, stuff like Ridge Racer, Tekken, Virtua Fighter 2 works). The arcade environment with all the games playing is cool tho (even if they'r videos). An interesting thing about it is that they're using an Unreal Libretro frontend instead of just being a launcher for RetroArch. This has both pros (being able to customize it more for VR) and cons (all the RetroArch goodies like built-in netplay, unbeatable shader support, auto input remapping for dozens of controllers...).
I tried Dodonpachi and I noticed something really weird with input detection. In Dodonpachi, holding the fire button shoots a laser while rapid firing is for, well, rapid firing. In the video below from 1:42 to 1:47 I'm constantly holding the fire button but it is sometimes getting registered as rapid firing. The same setup (custom arcade stick with x360ce) works without problems with current libretro mame core in both current RetroArch and EmuVR, so it must be an Arcade Time Capsule issue, either from the Unreal plugin or because it's using one of the older mame libretro cores meant for mobile (there are multiple in the app folder).

So far, EmuVR is still king despite despite using an outdated RetroArch version and somewhat wonky netplay . Hopefully they will add more stuff like different environments, being able to actually insert a coint through the coinlock for credits and full IK avatars for netplay (or even VRM support).

Movement, avatar interactions, props etc, these are only interesting in specific worlds and can't be used outside of them. If you don't know where to look you won't even find half of them. As for FBT: the BEST option is to buy lighthouses. Sorry.
Then get 3 HTC vive trackers and then a fourth to track the headset and sync playspaces automatically (or suffer with recalibration all the time).

Honorable mention: Homemade slimes. If you have more time than money, do this. You can get a full set for the price of one HTC tracker; but they track much worse and require WAY more setup. And then use this until the HTC lighthouseless trackers work on non-shit headsets. Do not buy prebuilts; the only reason to consider these is the price of building some yourself which is very cheap. Also time needed in building, setting up your avatar and playspace, tweaking the software etc etc

VUTs don't have blanket mode. As soon as the camera is covered they are frozen in space and only track rotation.

Don't forget that tracking is like having more than 2 lighthouses.

But also, officially comes with limitations, the best tracking quality is when tracker cameras are facing a wall which is at least 1.5 meters away.

In the end they should be 2 quite comparable tracking methods, with true 6DoF tracking. We just need that PCVR software. Apparently it's in closed alpha right now and they are doing final bugfixes before public beta.

I tried a bit of CitraVR on my Quest Pro
Zelda Ocarina of Time: Apparently fullspeed, didn't get past the intro to check more
New Super Mario Bros 2: halfspeed in menus for some reason, kinda fullspeed in gameplay with stutters
Senran Kagura 2: not fullspeed in gameplay, unplayable
3D OutRun: crashed
Super Mario 3D Land: extremely low framerate, unplayable

Every game had lots of stuttering because the Quest Pro isn't powerful enough for realtime shader compiling. Maybe results would be better with a Quest 3. Overall just use regular citra-canary with side-by-side 3D using Virtual Desktop instead, you won't be missing anything.

Like the last map I was able to hold multiple positions by running between them against multiple T because they refused to rush me down even though they could've easily overwhelmed me if they just you know... pushed
The perfect example of this is Aztec which people hate because they're too retarded to not just sit at B gate boxes just waiting for the CTs to surround them and then complain that the map is CT sided
