There's no practical way to do it through the thread. In the first 2 weeks, a link would be posted to the (singular) /vrg/ instance. This required someone to update the thread every time the group moved and it was deemed easier to just join on a name posted in the thread. As /vrg/ inevitably grew large enough to require multiple instances, the way in became friending people you met to join them in future. After that the concept of whether something is even a /vrg/ instance or not became poorly defined outside of events.

There was enough duos and solo guys around and you can choose to get matched randomly.
Except for some bugfixes and few menu changes game is the same as during closed beta, the only difference between PC and Quest is just the AO, shadows and lack of FFR, textures and models are exact same and so is the horrible LOD popin. Servers are obviously eating shit right now and matchmaking and parties are buggy as fuck.
It's fun and nowhere as broken as Tabor was on launch but it definitely isn't ready for release next month.
