Just as Steam Next Fes finishes, Maestro: Masterclass (now just Maestro) came out on Steam. And it's actually very fun rhythm game! Albeit on an easy side. Normal mode is quite relaxing and enjoyable, hard mode, is actually pretty hard and you'll have to multitask with your hand.

The best part of the game: you FEEL like you're conducting, and the overall atmosphere of posh musicians and making fun of French accents only add to the game. Very enjoyable.

Short Term: Just went up to completely random public world people knowing they have no idea who I am and if I stuff up really bad I can change my vrchat name and avatar and they won't know I'm someone else and then practiced 1 thing about conversations, things like starting conversations or confidently speaking from my chest or telling jokes to make people laugh.
Long term: Found a group of people from here that i clicked with and eventually got comfortable talking to them and initially did it with the knowledge that they don't know me irl and won't know me irl so if i fuck up i can just stop talking to them but we've become long term friends and the fear of embarrassing myself in conversations just doesn't bother me anymore

VRChat has two main zones. It supports both quest standalone and PCVR modes and they are typically seperate zones, even though PCVR can go anywhere for the most part. Quest-compatible areas tend to be nothing but kids, because the quest is a parenting replacement device for millions of children. PCVR only areas tend to be troons, jaded weebs, furres, asian cumguzzlers, TDA club normies, and booth club normies who pretend they're better than the TDAs they have the same behaviour of.

Playing around with the bonelab sdk and made a simple kill counter system. It's pretty barebones and requires a lot of hacks to make something other than a generic go to goal and kill everything on the way type of map.

I've used OG Vive, Pico 4, and Vive Pro 2. Quest and VP2 uses the same trick - screens are slightly outward instead of being centered to increase horizontal FoV so binocular overlap is worse on Pro 2 compared og vive and pico. It just makes me feel like my nose is slighly bigger than IRL, eyes just see less inwards, didn't have problems with depth perception due to that though, but your mileage may vary.

Standalone VR is growing as a platform a lot faster than PCVR, the latter of which is used by simulation enthusiasts and vrchat players exclusively. The biggest problems the quest has is it's limited processing power to handle people's shitty unoptimized avatars and it's very poor UX and high overhead for playing games not purchased inside Zucc's walled garden.

Zucc spent 50 billion dollars on R&D, really inefficiently it turned out, but still it's a large figure. People seem to like the deck a lot more than the index.

transparancy set to two pass, culling off, set the alpha low, enable rimlight and then enable dissolve in position mode and a seamless cloud texture and just fuck around with the settings until you like it
you can even try refraction fade just do the above but culling back, set the refraction settings to 0 and 0.1 respectively and then enable reflection tab and adjust roughness and metallicness until you get the pass through effect you want
if you're going to be a white ghost you will actually end up with a better looking effect then pic related i'm just after that dark spirit shadow doppelganger vibe which is a bit harder to work with
