Just rawdog non-seated VR experiences until you built immunity. I gained fully immunity after 20 hours playtime in VRChat + Boneworks and I thought I could "never" get over it but now I lowkey miss the feeling of being lightheaded and forced to sit down cuz that did make me feel very funny in a good way.

That's a funny question because all of those systems that simplify the process ultimately rely on your knowledge of fundamental logic behind it. For example, it's easy to add clothes on avatar, just buy booth, buy clothes, and add armature merge script, but then you have to understand that you need armature merger, know why do you need it in the first place. I can't think of any specific guide for that, but I'm sure you can ram through the necessary knowledge by doing it one by one. So, maybe just ignore everything and push through just with aimless effort: buy a booth, buy an outfit, slap it on, see what happens, google for solutions to your problems, it'll all come to you with time. This can be done by opening the texture in something like Paint.net or Krita, and just hue-shifting the entire thing if you wanna keep it simple.

Merging meshes and such falls under that. Repetitive, time-consuming tasks that tend to have very little variation and yet need to be done every time you make a new outfit.

If you become reliant on stuff like Modular Avatar to do something as fundemental to the avatar creation process as adding some new hair to your model. You'll eventually be stumped when you want to do anything that deviates slightly outside what a handful of more knowledgable people have dictated for you. Such as fitting some hair that doesn't have a Modular Avatar prefab for your specific base, or doing a headswap, or adjusting proportions outside of pre-existing blendshapes, and so on.
It's like how a lot of people today have no concept of what a "file system" even is, because tablets and smartphones just throw everything you download into arbitrary magic buckets and it justworks(tm).

Todd's game is still decent in VR, but you have to be in the mood for the whole toddgame experience, which includes setting up all the mods (or coping with vanilla). FWIW the plebbit FUS modlist that you can find pack downloads for actually isn't bad and mostly works out of the box. Le Mans Ultimate works fine out of the box.
Dirt Rally 2.0 only needs some minor tweaking to work well, and if you're willing to tweak stuff a bit more, WRC works okay too.

I have an idea for an occasional event (or a series of them) instead, but it would be rather autistic. The general concept would be to make a cosplay for your usual avatar given a theme, but it'd have to still be recognizable as your usual (You). So, let's say it's GFL cosplay: you keep your base, face, your body type only gets minor adjustments at most. Then, you can try fitting some MMD clothes if you'll find any, you can try fitting GFL2 gamerips, or you can even recolor some clothes from booth to vaguely resemble the character you're trying to cosplay. Hair change would be okay as well, cosplayers love their wigs after all. Still thinking about how this could be done properly, and whether it makes sense at all, it'd also most likely be kinda blender-heavy. Feel free to drop your thoughts on that.

Played it for hour before bed, it's good fun with the combat, all weapons are really nice so far, there's lots of quicktime-y moments akin to Bamham that will do Cool Thing (TM), dialogue and oneliners aren't as annoying as I thought they would be and it got me to giggle few times.
But the game is definitely linear as fuck, there's basically nothing interactive in the world, difficulty is pretty casual so far and some cutscenes do drag on. Had one crash but it runs smooth.
It's typical Oculus Studios game - polished, fun but also playing it safe as fuck with the design. I don't regret blowing 50 bucks on it but I also wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it at that price unless you really love Deadpool.

Had to run it in a very low resolution to keep good framerate, but aside of camera culling issues where objects sometimes disappear in corner of your view, this thing runs far, far better than what you'd expect from an injector plugin on top of the flat game. I'd say it runs better than WRC, though that's not a particularly high praise. Framerate is far more consistent, it looks much better even on lowest settings, also UEVR responds to OVR Dynamic Resolution. UI works out of the box, you can just start the game, load up UEVR, and convincingly pretend that this game has VR support. Try it, it's wonderful, especially given the quality of the base game, it makes DR2/WRC look like a joke in comparison.

the frame does not run meta games, meta uses proprietary calls and you would have to manually try and patch these out of the app to use it with the frame
