The Fashion Club is a newly started (hopefully recurring) meet focused on making outfits that aren't the standard casual, sexy, tactical, etc. The goal is to build a wardrobe full of great outfits that are not skimpy(without good reason), follow a theme, and that you'd want to wear anytime and anywhere, including public instances. The given themes will be very vague or broad, allowing club members to freely interpret their design based on a loose idea to prevent uniformity(like bunny suits or tactical gear). Meets are planned for possibly once a month, once every two months, or once a quarter.

The theme for this first meet is Adventurer, typically the medieval fantasy type but any interpretation is allowed as long as the first thought by anyone on seeing this outfit is without a doubt "that's an adventurer". Don't forget your weapons, your trinkets, anything you might need on a quest. Bonus points for interactive weapon gimmicks. It does not matter how you made the outfit, if you got an outfit on booth, kitbashed, the final result matters.

There is no contest(unless the people want one). Show up, show off, see what others have made, take pictures.

Anyone is free to join to show off or spectate, but there is one restriction on the final design:
- You must be mostly dressed and show no skimpy features(that means no chainmail bikinis).

I'm living in VRC and I'm often alone, sometimes making stuff, sometimes exploring worlds alone. Walking into obscure world of some guy in labs and trying to figure out what was happening in his head when he decided to make it a pleasant kind of autism fun. Gets old eventually, but until then, it's a good ride.

Other than that, if you didn't play through Into the Radius already, then ItR offers a pretty decent kind of exploration/progression done at your own pace. When I'm thinking about games I felt like I'm "living in", my first ItR playthroughs would be that. Slowly learning the new areas, preparing, exploring, brushing rust off guns with a toothbrush for half an hour while chilling in base, it all felt very much in this direction.

No one has frame yet so no one will give you a certain answer, but foveated rendering is not disabling the screen outside of the center. Sim racing relies on noticing movement rather than observing the exact arrangement of pixels, you're looking straight at the apex and recognizing the presence of someone behind you by noticing some motion in the mirror with the corner of your eye. I'd expect it's going to be great.

Also, Frame doesn't have foveated rendering, it has foveated encoding. I'd assume bitrate outside of your view won't be so bad that it'll fail to show you any pixels in the mirror, so overall I'd remain optimistic. Godot XR game jam progress. The theme is "adrift" which I've interpreted it as a sort of herding simulator with some basic alife/boid creatures. This time they're more insect/fish/ameoba like instead of sheep/cats, so they fly around in 3d and swirl around and stuff. The fiction is the creatures/bugs are supposed to be migrating but they're attracted to these mushrooms in the forest and are stuck (adrift) there, so you have to use your lantern/spotlight with different colors to chase/pull them into the central goal (and return to a larger herd/migration in the sky).

Still testing just in desktop obviously but I think it'll work in VR. This is running on CPU on my laptop so the frametimes aren't great, but should be able to move it to the GPU and simulate with plenty of overhead.

I get really annoyed watching linus. You get that dissonance between the script and the conclusion. He's shilling it and shitting on it at the same time, and neither feels honest or well thought out. You can tell he's disappointed because he doesn't need wireless ability to play beatsaber, index offers better sound for the music, and big screen is already small and light and has oled which makes the contrast look better. Other VR use cases mean nothing to him. He's not playing games with roomscale movement. He's not playing VR Mods with shit button mappings. He's not using a VR headset as a portable. I think it's half skill issues and acclimation to it. The strap with audio and battery seems fixeable in the future so there's that and none of the shills I've seen mention the screen door so the display might sit right inbetween a Q3 and P4.

What is the deal here? I've heard complaints about the ergonomics, then people come back and say their opinion has appreciated, but that sounds like cope. However I myself am accustomed to people complaining about controllers I own and I have no fucking clue what they are talking about. It's like we have different products with the same name and appearance. Oddly the feature I was most concerned about, the haptics which are a cheap motor, nobody has said anything about. The only complaint that immediately makes sense is H3VR anton complained about no dual staged triggers and they are mush, which I immediately understood and I died a little inside.

I think valve should come up with a better knuckle strap system that gives hand position more longitude.
