The Fashion Club is a newly started (hopefully recurring) meet focused on making outfits that aren't the standard casual, sexy, tactical, etc. The goal is to build a wardrobe full of great outfits that are not skimpy(without good reason), follow a theme, and that you'd want to wear anytime and anywhere, including public instances. The given themes will be very vague or broad, allowing club members to freely interpret their design based on a loose idea to prevent uniformity(like bunny suits or tactical gear). Meets are planned for possibly once a month, once every two months, or once a quarter.

The theme for this first meet is Adventurer, typically the medieval fantasy type but any interpretation is allowed as long as the first thought by anyone on seeing this outfit is without a doubt "that's an adventurer". Don't forget your weapons, your trinkets, anything you might need on a quest. Bonus points for interactive weapon gimmicks. It does not matter how you made the outfit, if you got an outfit on booth, kitbashed, the final result matters.

There is no contest(unless the people want one). Show up, show off, see what others have made, take pictures. This is intended to essentially be a hangout+ with a focus on fashion and outfits. The Fashion Club is just that, a club; it is not a huge event with its own custom made world and a whole itinerary of activities, it is a meant to be a get-together of people with the same interest and this one is about fashion, outfits, and cultivating the creativity that lies in how you present yourself to an intended audience(even yourself).

Anyone is free to join to show off or spectate, but there is one restriction on the final design:
- You must be mostly dressed and show no skimpy features(that means no chainmail bikinis).

the only problem seems to be the dongle. If you use a traditional (i.e. not immutable) distro, you can fix that by using Linux kernel 7.2.6. which includes drivers for that thing.

I recall hearing that a devkit holder claimed there was a box design that had all of it, implying they split it into two boxes later in the process. A rational speculation is suppliers sucked and they were going to hold up frames waiting on them. But we can't know because valve won't say shit about it. It looks like they should've had a randomized a reserve list for the ergo kit, so I don't have to hope I get lucky that I notice in time when they restock.

As to the XStadium thing, it was actually fine quality, the main problem was that because the camera was literally like 2/3s of the way down on the scorer's table, you sometimes had it blocked by refs or players waiting to check into the game. They'd then switch to the backboard camera, same angle that most TV shows use for free throws, until whoever was in the way was gone, but was still annoying since it was still 3D but the angle isn't as good. Could easily have been solved by moving the camera to the other side of the court, but then they'd be down 1 courtside seat to have room for it. Visual quality was fine, though, and it was like a 180 degree 3D camera so you had depth and the ability to watch the ball move up and down the court, plus you could even look up at the jumbotron like you were really in the stadium. Unfortunately, I don't think it caught on and so there hasn't been anything similar for the past two seasons which was a shame, because it literally took minimal extra effort of having a camera in place and then someone switching angles occasionally.

The Frame's standalone is a bit better than expected. Played Walkabout with it. The caveat is that there's no ARM Linux version of CreamAPI yet so I had to rawdog it with no DLC.

Streaming the same game is fucked up though. It feels like both eyes are switched and the view warps the opposite of the direction your head is turning.

I eventually got it to work by blocking connections via systemctl. But even adapter only connections with my head next to the adapter look blurry. I'm not sure what settings will improve things. A little sad about that.

I have only tested alyx stand alone and PC. Tonight im gonna do my normal VRC club hopping.
It wasnt very noticable at all. The latency is low enough that it didnt bother me.

So far the only issues I have are:

You get points for having the most players in the zone on each periodic tick until a team reaches 100 and wins. There's a smaller hotzone inside it that roams around and each player counts for double. There's also base building and towers that can be captured and used to pull the control zone. You could put a simplified version on the largest Forefront maps.
