For VRC map makers out there, here's a really useful thing for placing light probes automatically

Instead of duplicating and dragging probes a billion times, you drag a single rect over the volume you want to fill, and the density you want, and it fills the space in one click. Also adds probes around lights and other static geometry, very handy. You'll have to add more probes manually if you have emissive stuff, but still a much better starting probe placement.

it's pretty impressive
it has 7 areas (i only checked out 1 and a half)
the open plain area had a forest with a jumping puzzle poison lake, a stealth puzzle cave filled with knife wielding Guno and a giant dinosaur roaming the area, probably had other stuff too
the world is filled with npcs with text pop ups and quest givers with quest tracking (i accepted a quest and checked the quest tracker and it had updated with the quests i had found as well as the progress on each of them for example i had found 3 out of 13 of these dolls and it showed that on the quest trackers around the world)
it has multiple ways to die and it tells you how you died (i fell into a poison lake, stabbed by a Guno in a cave and stomped on by a giant dinosaur)
it's a 506mb map but well worth it, probably take a few good hours to complete it all, it's a shame it's only singleplayer though

A VR game that I think deserves more attention is Vivecraft, the VR mod for java minecraft. Unlike the MS vr minecraft, which is clumsy and mediocre, Vivecraft is fully compatible with all Forge MC mods, allows you to naturally swing and aim, is compatible with all MC servers (although there is a server version that allows non-VR players to see your arm movements), and has fully rebindable controls including a customisable radial menu (great for hotbar). I've been playing it with a vVR firend and a NON-VR friend for a week and it's honestly great. Architecting spaces in VR is much more satisfying, the sense of scale and wonder is greater, and it's rather tense with enemies as things like tping endermen can startle you in VR. Only downside is that the game can be a bit choppy, so beware if you get VR sickness.

So if you have java minecraft, go get the free vivecraft mod, set up a private server with some (VR) friends, and give the game a go. I last played MC in 2010 or so, never expected to go back to it, but I'm really glad I did.

Gesture overrides. Basically all your hand gestures are custom animations set in your animation controller. There's a default controller in the vrchat sdk assets, duplicate that and make some animations and then stick the animations in the slot you want to override. It could be as simple as showing/hiding an object or as complicated as a whole scene with particles and stuff flying around. You can also put them on the emote slots like backflip/wave etc if you want to for some reason.

Naisu. That boss has 3 phases by the way. So it will take you guys a few attempts as well to possibly get it down. Prioritize staying alive to getting damage in and it should work.

I have had a problem last night where when grabbing the front of the gun to steady my aim I seemed to grab something else, an invisible thing alongside my gun, which caused my aim to freak out. The dungeon is pretty hard. You have to beat all 3 pathways and get the codes at the end, then light the torches in the main hall in a certain order to beat the map. It’s a fun world though, I like it a lot, but still haven’t beaten it.

Thats my main issue with everything in VR games that use avatars right now. Games that do semi-realistic humans tend to just feel wring/creepy, barely skimming the uncanny valley.
