Honestly the battery life for my HTC Vive controllers + trackers is unaceptable. Things start to fucking die all at the same time around 4 hours in. Even if I got a pair of better controllers that run on batteries or whatever ( I think index controllers last for weeks?)

I love the WWII guns in Pavlov but the rest of the update is so shit, you can't even do knife only (for maps that spawn guns) or bolt action only anymore, and there's no mode that lets you buy the new guns. If you plan to host or practice by yourself the dlc is all worth it.
If you just want to turn up to lobbies you don't need any dlc whatsoever, only the host needs the dlc and the usual host has all of them.
Each dlc pack comes with 10 new tracks + 2 boss tracks* and a bunch of cosmetic stuff and extra campaign races. So if you buy one dlc you might as well buy all of them.

*A boss track is a mega track made up of 5 normal tracks chained together with portals.

Did some practice in vox machinae against bots.

The drill hitbox is really really tiny. 90% of the time I somehow landed on their arm and just rode on top of them for a while, or get my own legs taken off from a side scrape, or you land right in front of their weapons and take point blank damage somehow. It's satisfying when it works, but man it's just not worth it. goldrush or hopper ramming is just more reliable.

Every mech is armored enough that if you're firing continuously at them with any weapon, you will overheat before they take lethal damage, even lasers right to the cockpit, or dual scattershots. Maybe if you're really good with the railgun you can do it, but I couldn't.

miniguns are pretty good overall, tiny heat output for steady damage and armor shredding. pulsars seem strictly worse miniguns on damage for heat. scattershots are okay at burst, but lasers still seem more reliable if you focus the cockpit or an arm. skyjackers are pretty awful against anything but hammers, and even then you might as well just laser the hammer out of the sky instead and have a more versatile slot. hammer itself is okay, but it's most effective as a short-range nuke, and has a really long cooldown. Railguns, missles, cannons, and lasers are all fine for their combat niche.

Air brake is a good module in general, it'll save your legs a lot. coolant flush is good on all the fat mechs, and ram-air intake good on the small ones.

goldrush/hopper are the best mechs overall when nobody's organized and you're just picking people off. dredge/catalyst fatties good if you have enough teamwork and mrechs to group up. Rook is kind of spicy once you get good at going sideways for mobility. drill is kind of nice for high-mobility railgun annoyance. I haven't really found a way to be effective in the overhaul yet, except raining down missles on the squishy top of goldrushes if they get too close.

Of the /vg/ threads created more recently than /vrg/ when I loaded the catalog a few minutes ago, the only ones that weren't specifically for one franchise were fighting games general and anime fighting games general. VR is already one of the better candidates, but currently it's stalled in both hardware and software, so a board can wait until the GPU and headset manufacturing industries can actually make things and a new generation of headsets comes out to drive growth.

A hentai games board would be a good idea due to NSFW, and VR hentai games could go on there. Most emulation is already allowed on the real /vr/, retro, and the /vg/ general for unlimited emulation is slower than /vrg/. A VN board would be awkward because the english and japanese VN communities are like fgo and alter, they don't mix.

It has little ledges and platforms you can walk along, trees growing through the cracks and houses and stuff built onto the side of it. The clouds go up and down, left and right.
