I have them, they're great. Took them 7 days to ship them, then another 4 days to arrive. Installation is really easy (twist into place, at least on the CV1 - they have guides for each headset), comes with a little holder for them.
Quality is great, I have the maximum FOV and basically every option available on mine, and it really made a difference toward clarity in VR, so I wouldn't skimp out on FOV options. I don't own any lenses below maximum FOV, but I can tell you that I could tell a very very minor difference in FOV between no lenses, and maximum FOV lenses (for me, it ended up closing the nose gap, too, added side bonus)

i bought a vive tracker thinking i could use it to track my body position in games in general, i set it to be a waist tracker, its hooked up to steamvr and i know it can work in games since its paired and shows up in the VR home thing, but nothing seems to actually DO anything with it. what the fuck?

Time for my normal guide:
Take a word. Cat, dog, lizard, bird, boat, slut, zombie, whatever. Look for a base that has a lot of features you like. For a lot of people right now, they grab Nyasuka or Imeris right now for cat and slut respectively.
Think about things you like to decorate your avatar with it. Texture editing is a bare minimum and you can still do cool shit that makes it work.
Play videogames and think about what games you like that have clothes you can make work on your model. This is actually fairly flexible and gives you a lot of options.
Search bowlroll and deviantart for more outfits or entire MMD/XPS models to sort out and use. You can find some really nice anime outfits browsing around, or some really hacky gamerips.
Reminder that even the bare minimum of edits should set you apart from every other member, but you can always do more, and learn more. Everyone is learning, so ask around.

Most of the time I just look at outfits for other avatars that might look good on my avatar. Booth is filled with options.

PD2 in less than an hour if I saw it right!

The mahjong map was a nice place to sleep, I drifted off to sleep for a few minutes last night while only half intending to sleep. The light level is just right and listening to people play and talk as you drift off to sleep is very comfy.

However, it would be nice if there was a toggle to turn the chairs off. Being able to turn the volume of the rain outside up would be nice too, and would a way to toggle on tile clacking sounds. Tiles clacking as people play would really increase the comfiness to max.

Probably due to the fact that basically every part of a drg dwarf is customizable there is no "base" model dwarf at all to rip from found the same problem with tes

so I figured out how to fix the audio of my left index speaker cutting out. Turns out the screw holding the headstrap itself was very loose, so the pogo pins inside the connection were disconnecting sometimes. However, the hole to access the T6 torx screw in there really really narrow, like 2mm in diameter or something, and my screwdriver was too fat. I thought I'd have to go buy a special thin screwdriver just for this, but it turns out the circular plastic ring also pops out if you can hook it with a paperclip, then a screwdriver will fit in fine. Tightened the strap and now the audio works great again.

Coop event! This time we are cooperating with tuesday movies to bring this one of a kind event. On tuesday (16th of November) L gonna show the Ford vs Ferrari movie, 24 hour LeMans race of 1966. Next monday after that we will race the same cars, at the same track.
It's gonna be a proper endurance race similar to 24 minutes of Spa, but this time we'll actually do the endurance bit. Usually our events take around 1.5 hours, so this time we'll have 30 minute practice/qualifiers and then 1 hour race. Anyway, VR headsets create an optical image equivalent of a screen at some distance (3-10 meters, some infinity). If you need your eyes to be correct for viewing something far away - you need to have them corrected for VR too.

Yes, it's very good for making textures without being an artist.
I always work with base colour, and not material because I use UTS and not PBR shading in VRC. Base colour stays more true to what it will look like for me in Unity.

when look at a layer's properties in subpaint, it has a bunch of little boxes [color] [height] [roughness] etc which say which part of the PBR material the layer contributes to. Not sure what the timestamp was, but at several points he discussed how quest 2 was designed to meet the price target and that required making various compromises based on what components they could get cheaply and in quantity. It makes sense since the quest 2's price is impressively cheap.

On valve's side they're much higher on the price curve, but they still have to make a different set of compromises. You could easily spend $20,000+ on optics if you wanted pristine custom state of the art stuff. Improving technology will eventually bring prices down and that will open up new options for all the headset makers.

Between raising the final gear ratio up a notch and more negative camber I'm not entirely sure what made the biggest difference but I felt like it was a combination of both. I actually didn't touch any of the more indepth setup stuff - I bumped up both aero components by 1 and 4 respectively, and adjusted the pressures on the tyres, from TL to BR: 16, 16, 20, 19, and obviously slick tyres. I love mine. I know people complain about the weight, but it doesn't bother me. Getting prescription lenses made it a lot better (glasses don't fit and my contacts are awful). The controllers can be pinchy after a long time but they really do make the most sense of all the others I've tried.
So far only a few games either don't support the headset or controllers and I just refund them if I can't get it working right. I have a small face and nose, so I get light up though the nose part of the face mask. I have other face masks for it but none are as comfortable as the original. When there are updates sometimes it's a pita but lately I've not had trouble. I like it a ton better than the original vive I have laying around. Cables have never bothered me but I know a lot of people feel that wireless is the end all be all.

Since 2 months or so I've been having an issue with some of my avatars, when I'm in FBT the tracking completely stops working. Avatar starts having default animations when I walk around. Arms also don't move the avatar's arms but I can access the menu normally. It only happens to a few models, I uploaded 2 today and one of them has the issue but the other one doesn't.
