Just finished Crisis VRigade 2 today. I would say I'm a pretty good VRFPS player, but playing that game solo on Veteran is insane. Having a friend really made it not only much more fun, but more playable, and we finished all 3 story missions and time trials together. It's fun, but I don't know if it's worth $15 for 2 hours of content.

Coop event! This time we are cooperating with tuesday movies to bring this one of a kind event. On tuesday (16th of November) L gonna show the Ford vs Ferrari movie, 24 hour LeMans race of 1966. Next monday after that we will race the same cars, at the same track.
It's gonna be a proper endurance race similar to 24 minutes of Spa, but this time we'll actually do the endurance bit. Usually our events take around 1.5 hours, so this time we'll have 30 minute practice/qualifiers and then 1 hour race. Use your arrow keys/dpad or remap it to controll the pit crew (we most likely will need to refill/change tyres)

If you've been lurking the thread you will have surely seen that our Nihongo Maru japanese study group has been going on for some time now.

We've had many great lessons from various anons, group practice, video lessons, and even a few meetups with native speakers. I've learned a lot from this. Way more than I would have on my own, as I would've surely given up by now otherwise. Having a group of fellow travelers really does help.

Even so this "class" has been very casual and free form. The daily topics have been pretty much random. While this has been a lot of fun we had a discussion this last Sunday and there was a majority interest in having more structured lessons. So we are going to try and do just that.

We will be resetting and starting with the basics. If you would like to try learning with us the next few classes would be a good time to start. We are currently working out an overall lesson plan to stick to and I expect to have something more concrete this Sunday.

For today we will be talking about verb forms and brainstorming on the outline for the future classes.

I'm dumb, I had TAA on when I took these making everything blurrier than they should have been. The Nvidia algorithm looks much worse honestly. Maybe it is just a result of the mod, but there are these vertical line artifacts in the foveal. I think that the areas in the center of the picture are clearish overall, but the area outside of that are way blurrier than AMD FSR or native with sharpening.

What is the absolute minimum for a non animated avatar? I made a cube, set the rig to humanoid (the builder wouldn't let me proceed otherwise, even though I have no bones), added the VRC_avatardescriptor, and positioned my viewball. This loads up in game but I guess vrchat doesn't know to collide floors with the bottom of my cube (looks like it sinks until my viewball hits the floor?). It also appears so massive in the avatar selection that it covers my whole screen, but is quite small in game.

Also, you might want to consider https://www.nexusmods.com/enderalspecialedition/mods/3 to help rebalance things and make enemies less damage spongie. Admittedly I'm only playing on Adept and with the locational damage mod rewarding good aim I haven't found anything too spongy, but at higher difficulties I imagine that it would be really nice to have. The OpenVR FSR mod mentioned earlier in the thread is nice, even if you aren't upscaling and just using the sharpening option to make things clearer at a native resolution. The modlist has a reshade which can do the same thing along with color adjustments.

The github for VREssentials mentions that there is a bug where you can get locked out of conversations while skipping, but I haven't found that at all and mash trigger like a madman whenever I come across particularly heinous dialogue.

Potentially I can reduce the max number of people able to be in a single map and design the map to be easily duplicatable like the SOS Speed Dating world.
Max 40 should still feel a lot.
Get a bunch of sub-anchors so people can still go to their preferred instance easily as needed.

Uses string concatenation instead of using the string.format and is constantly polling it in an update() loop, when you can just do a delayed event every second. When compiled to Udon assembly it makes the difference of running 2-3 extern calls every second, vs more than a dozen extern calls every damn frame. Adds like 0.05-0.1ms cpu frametime for a goddamn clock.
A lot of Udon prefabs on booth fall to optimization pitfalls like this, and take up excessive cpu frame time even in idle. Its because authors don't take into account the limitations of Udon and how it works, and write their programs as if its native C#. Its no wonder performance starts to suffer when someone just chucks in Udon prefabs into their world without a care.

I don't really feel any pain during normal use, but one time i did this autism experiment where i use my pc exclusively with VR headset for a week. As dumb as it sounds, I was fixing eye strain with IPD slider. Instead of keeping it at my IPD, i was moving it all the way to the widest position every now and then, leaving it for a minute or so, and that was relaxing my eyes really well.You can give it a shot, could help you, just remember your original IPD and switch back to it later.

I own a Rift S and a Quest 2. Out of the box I can wear my Rift S for hours at a time. However with the Q2 I needed to purchase battery pack, replacement face cover, nose cover, replacement head strap etc just to make it comfortable enough to be able to use it for longer periods of time. The rift S is still a decent headset if you’re getting it on the cheap, you may need to replace the cable if it’s 2nd(and replace the face cover of course!)

Does anyone know how to boost FPS in Vivecraft? I'm using 1.16.5, render distance 12 chunks, BSL Shaders on Medium profile, and render resolution at 100% of Quest 2 display.
