Compound is fun. If you really like guns there's h3vr but it's more of a shooting range sim with some game modes tacked on. There's beat saber too I guess. Asgard's Wrath maybe? Haven't played it myself. Blade and Sorcery might entertain you for a while.

It's on sale right now and has a good 30 hours of survival shooting and exploring, double if you complete both the 1,0 and 2.0 branches which are totally different zones from before and after the remake, archived in the steam beta options. Each version has pros and cons so you should try both.

Singleplayer only, no coop, with difficulty options depending on how realistic you like it. Took me more than 100 h to clear both versions in ironman, although I wanted to collect all the guns before I finished up so was hardly trying to save time.

It's not a game for everyone but there's a lot of content and the gameplay loop is satisfying.

Asgard's Wrath. It has a ton of cool environments and unique puzzles to work your way through. It actually does offer 40+ hours as it claims without just copypasting stuff or making things pointlessly grindy.

Also, Bean Stalker as of the latest update should more than satisfy you. The progression is open ended, but ultimately you collect, craft, and work your way to getting to the top of each bean stalk to kill all three bosses which should take at least fifteen hours.

From what I understand, when you first set up the quest 2 you MUST link a facebook account (or create one). However, people are saying that you can then contact oculus support and get them to unlink your facebook account from your oculus account. Is there any truth to this? I've had an oculus account since 2012. By the time they close that loophole in 2023 the deckard will be out so I don't give a shit.

I've used both, but I got rid of the Vive Pro 2 in the end as the speaker buzzing was really bad for me. I think that if you get one without the buzzing it's a fine headset, but even then I'd prefer the G2 which is clearer and has better optics despite the lower resolution. That and the speakers, microphone, and comfort are real nice. My lenses would constantly fog up with the Vive Pro 2 while I've never had that issue with the G2. I use the Index controllers with the G2 so the tracking has never really factored in for me. You'll want some knuckles anyways as you can use them with both of the existing headsets and probably the Deckard when that comes out.

Anyone else have experience getting Into The Radius working properly? For some reason it's the one VR game that without fail runs horribly for me. Wireless is not necessary for shooters but is really nice to have. From what I've seen cabled players have extensive use of snap turn. Which is unfortunately faster than turning irl. So they have an advantage over wireless, if they are well practiced with snap turn. Even with that I would still rec wireless. I havent been cabled for almost 2 years now. For the 3x3 you do chasing the lights, press the square beneath a lit up square until you are at the bottom. Then do one of three patterns to get the remaining two or three lit squares on the bottom, two of said patterns being mirrors of each other. x would be where you press and - would be where you don't.
For the bottom left one being lit use

and mirror it for the bottom right. Then for the bottom middle use

These patterns only affect the single tile mentioned. So you effectively only have two patterns to memorize, and you can do one after the other without issue.

The new biome is just the arctic biome. The update does include a lot of the Christmas content you've already seen with the ornaments and new recipes. They did add the gun shield too which you'll need materials from the arctic biome to craft. After that it's going to be co-op then the volcanic bean stalk, though they add items and change other things on the regular. I picked up the game initially because the Halloween event was so great, and I'm hoping that they'll follow it and the Christmas event up with more so I can get more trophies for the trophy shelf.

Ok none of you faggots ever believe me but here it is. Quest 2 without Facebook.

I have had an Oculus account from the Rift days I never linked to a Facebook account. Should be the same for new ones.

1 purge any Oculus app from your phone if installed before

2 disabled app auto updates on Google play settings

3 download the old Oculus app ver 36.0.0.5.242 https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebook-technologies-llc/oculus-2/oculus-2-36-0-0-5-242-release/oculus-36-0-0-5-242-android-apk-download/

4 Sign into the app with your Oculus account and leave it on

5 factory reset the quest 2 even if you just pulled it out of the box. (Volume down + power till it restarts and goes to a boot menu)

6 go through the setup as directed up to completing the wifi setup.

7 in the phone app add a headset. You won't see Quest 2 since it's an old app but select Quest option. It will likely say it faild even though it found the headset. You can back out and see it in your device list.

8 finish in headset setup.

9 eneble developer mode (google that)

10 you can now enable app updates again.

You will get warnings when downloading/buying games and apps that your headset isn't set up yet but you can ignore that. Obviously any Facebook related social functions will not work.

Some time next year you shouldn't have to jump through these hoops as playing Facebook free will be officially supported as announced by the zuck earlier if you trust that.

Booth models aren't necessarily any higher quality than MMD's. You will find the same type of modeling mistakes and goofs and annoyances in booth models as with MMD.
Also, MMD models have more unique art styles and are more often of existing game/anime characters as well.

Looking at a Quest 2 and have a few questions.
My PC isn't an issue despite getting up in the years aside from one thing, no USB-C port.
I've seen claims that Anker's USB 3.0 to USB-C works just as well, anyone can confirm?

Apparently it's also not super-comfortable without an elite strap of some kind so i'd be picking up a BOBOVR M2 as well.
Other than that do I need to pay up for anything else i'm missing?
I figured i'd mostly use it wired for reference so i'm hoping extra batteries aren't necessary, are they?
