Todays map recommendation: THE CORRIDOR VR By SylviaCrisp
This map is something, well, special. If you can recall The Stanley Parable, the basics are simple – there is a story teller and we, who don’t want to listen. And while there is no variety here, the dynamic story creates is incredible.
This map is not just a story thou, but a whole emotional adventure; An adventure, where you are witness to a creator’s cry for help. It starts with a denial, simple jokes about “haha don’t play my game” and goes all the way to the “please – I’m just scared. I need help”, everything greatly wrapped in comedy situations. And while this is only the middle of a story, since I really want you to witness it all until the very end by yourself – here’s a little quote from that storyline middle part that got stuck with me: “Why are you still here? Isn’t it obvious, I don’t want you around? I don’t want you to play this game. Do you know how much pain you cause? You know what, go away… Go away and make your own things – don’t use mine. Go out there instead.” Even if I didn’t know what this map or game is about, I could still tell how much this person deeply hurt and scared, voice actor did an incredible job aswell.
Best be played solo or in a group of 2-4 people, since I consider this more of a story time rather than gameplay time. Rough playtime is 20-40 minutes.

setup was actually pretty easy to get working especially since i didn't know what the hell i was doing, don't have the mount for my index so it's attached to the headset only which why some of the faces i try making looks a bit scuffed but it was pretty easy to just slap on really and should be fine for what i do in vr since i don't actually drink :)

Depends on what base you're using. There are some packages you can buy for about 15 bucks for both of the popular booths that make it easy.
If you have to do it the normal way, you need to create 15ish shape keys and then run a tool in unity to generate the rest of the shapes. There's a bunch of crap you have to do in unity to actually assign it, too.
There's guides online and a face tracking discord with a lot of guides.

Just a tip for doing skirts in general.
recalculate bone roll around the cursor (that's usually snapped to the center) in blender.
Then use hinge limits for physbones.
That way it only flutters up and down.
Works best for short skirts only.

if you're looking specifically horrors - i would give 2 reccomendations.

On the other hand, if previous map scares you in more usual sense, being that loud sounds or Chthoni creatures, second map i will present - Blue Lick Road GOTY Director's CutBy Kadachii. This one isn't horror in a usual sense, but if you dare step in there.... Well, nothing bad will happen, right from the start. Walking around on seemengly normal 3d scanned rooms you will start noticing all those details that don't add up, rooms making an infinite labyrinth with no seams, you might get that primal feeling of something being wrong all around you, and walls pressuring you more and more. Piece of advice - Don't lose your friends from your sight here.

blue: Useless, basically green but you can get caught ERPing if you forgot to turn it off. Why would you even want to auto accept invites if you specifically went to an Invite (Private) world.
green: Shows where you are, free joining.
orange: If you don't want rando friends to join on meetups or are in a sex or weird wold you don't want people to see you in. If you are on perma orange it means you are autistic.

There's a few problems here. We often do things like casual world explorations, which means the instance owner would have to post a new link every time we swap instances. We are usually in a world for maybe a couple minutes at a time so this isn't practical.
Sometimes people are just lazy and don't post the link on the thread, it means you have to fumble around in your overlay or take off your headset.
I try to stay away from leaderfagging since some people don't like me hosting instances, but if I end up hosting a weekend meetup I usually post it on the thread. Not everyone feels like doing that though.
Then there's the whole "secure instance" thing being forced upon all Friends+ instances, which means that now only the instance owner can post an unlocked link. I think needing the proportional changes is more necessary the more humanoid people try to look. If you compare kikyo to something like tiphereth, it makes sense that you'd need to do more to fix Kikyo when making the size match. Tiphereth is so far from human there isn't a need to mess with proportions so much.

The entire point of the original valentines ball and prom balls was that people wanted a reason to put a nice spiffy suit on their male avatars and an elegant dress on their female avatars.
If you had ever been to the ball events you would know they are 10% couples actually making a nice wholesome night of it(good for them), 10% shitpost and 80% people just dancing to the dj on the custom theme map in their ball themed avatars.
It's literally just a themed dance event with valentines themed shitposts spread around a custom map and some valentines themed gimmick with the usual solid dj set.
