The Top Gear Assetto Corsa meetup has had it's server configs all set up, both maps and all the modded cars tested, and everything is ready to go for Friday! We'll be starting at 9pm or 10pm Eastern (Any suggestions on which are appreciated!), and we'll be hitting up Donington Speedway and maybe the Top Gear Test Track, with some Trackday specials and 1970's italian supercars, along with some other fun odds and ends!

After the driving (drinking allowed), we'll be watching three episodes edited together in VRChat. Hope to see you there, fellow racists.

They believe that profits come from making things that are good. Plus they get some experimentation wiggle room from the infinite amount of money steam brings into their company. So while profits do come first; as a company they have a budget for failure, so they'll spend time developing things and then drop them if they aren't going anywhere. Also I don't think they're making much money from the deck at all; hardware sales are notoriously unprofitable unless you have aggressive markups; and valve is much more likely to have a very non-aggressive markup simply to get the deck into people's hands (and then sell more steam games).

I have an index and a quest 2, loved the wireless of the quest 2, had infinite battery due to hotswappable bobovr battery strap but found my index just to be more comfortable, better audio, better fov.

How big is input lag and response time of VR? How quickly does the display begin to change the received image via the display port?

In the reviews I see some kind of horror in more than 30 milliseconds and 60+ in wireless, although 120 Hz refresh rate means changes in the center of the screen to the next frame after (1000/120) × 1.5 = 12.5 ms

For comparison, for the fastest gaming monitors 280-360Hz it is tenths of a millisecond

1000/120=8.33ms - start of new frame in left-up part of screen
8.33x1.5=12.5ms - new frame seen in center of display
So processing lag should be 8.33/2=4.16ms on 120Hz display in ideal, and it's 4.3-.4.16=0.14ms on fastest gaming monitors

Resonite/neos very basic 3d manipulation gizmos, plus grab and rotate/stretch. It's not particularly good but it is a working implementation, you could probably get ideas on what works and what doesn't from it. It's quite fun but it makes the same mistake as other VR roguelikes by having boring stat upgrades with little impact on your playstyle. If it's all going to play more or less the same I don't feel like I'm going to get much replayability out of it.
In my opinion the best roguelikes have items that can completely change the nature of your build and have far more variety as a result. You'll be chasing the perfect run RNG just as much as you'll be trying to make as few mistakes as possible. That's where the replayability comes from.

I find it frustrating. I want to support VR devs so we get better quality games but I can't help but feel that every game we get belongs in the 'Wait for a sale' category because it lacks enough depth. Underdogs has all the polish of a good VR game but not enough 'meat' for me, I'd have felt better if it were $20, maybe even $25.

I would not say there are plenty. I saw a few arm types that are somewhat different, utility items like a decoy and a boss drop which had a unique ground pound AoE attack. The vast majority of items were stat-changes or stuns that don't meaningfully alter the way you play.
It won't carry the replayability like a roguelike should.
