Yes. I bought a stream controller and liked it, the final version was good. I also liked using it for games designed for a normal gamepads, just not retro games or rocket league or something. But the prototype was always gimped.

Also I'm not ripping on touchpads on the vivewands, I'm ripping on the lack of analog sticks and face buttons. But if you want to raise it, I actually am skeptical of touchpads in VR because we have precise 6dof, which cuts into their uses as mouse/trackball emulators. Analog sticks are better for movement and radial stuff because physical feedback on return to center. What's left is very niche even if developers got creative with them. It looks like valve has realized this and threw them out for deckard in favor of dpad and 4 face buttons.

The steam controller was still good because it was meant to be 'as well as' a regular controller. It does fine mouse movement way better than an analogue stick and for that purpose it's good.

What would I need to know? Current setup is 3 vive 3.0's, Index full kit, 1 extra base station. I stayed with Valve entirely because the audio is still some of the best but I'm really considering switching for eye tracking. Almost nobody uses them so I question that. Of the 4 I can't remember the last time I saw someone else use the CT ones.
M110 is the worst one because it has less base damage and that translates to lower ability to secure kills against damaged enemies in fewer than 3 shots like the others. SCAR20 is better but has atrocious ironsights so if you don't intend to use it like a shitty sniper rifle there's an extra cost attached.
Look at it like this; What is easier/quicker, accurately hitting 3 shots with the M110 or 6 with the Honeybadger? At close, medium and long range? The benefit of full auto and much lower recoil would have me pick Honeybadger every time. Multiply those shots by two for three for extra enemies or add in the netcode benefitting pre-firing and spraying down retreating enemies skews even further.
The burst rifles blend between the two and are much more reliable when you want to hold an angle because they can easily put out their DPS at full speed at all ranges. With an M16 when someone pushes me with an AK that $400 difference seems very minor, with an M110 or SCAR20 my weapon choice feels like a clear disadvantage.
If these are weapons that require more skill to use effectively then they should reward more too.

The $2100 semi-autos feel stuck in a weird middle ground. They don’t clearly outperform cheaper rifles, and they’re not strong enough to justify the price over full buys. Right now, they’re competing with both but losing out in most scenarios.
The M110 in particular struggles. Its low base damage makes it unforgiving, especially when it's more expensive than something like the Honeybadger, which offers full-auto versatility. If I'm buying a semi-auto, I want precision and consistency to be worth the tradeoff but if it doesn't reliably secure 2-shot kills or punish peeks, what's the point?
I also agree on the kill bonus. If it's meant to be a high-skill weapon, there should be an economic reward for mastering it. As it stands, you're paying more for a higher skill ceiling without any payoff, which makes cheaper, more flexible options more appealing.
On grenades, area denial tools should force hesitation. If players can just skirt around the edges without real punishment, they’re not working. The ramp-up damage is a cool idea, but it needs clearer visuals or a tighter link between the effect and the threat it poses.

Yeah, that’s exactly the issue. The M110 might be balanced in a vacuum, but the moment the Honeybadger enters the equation, it warps the value proposition. It’s not just that the Honeybadger is good it’s that it overshadows the M110 to the point where the M110 feels like a trap pick.

T-side is not stuck with semi-autos or bad guns lol. Draco is a Honeybadger but with a drum-mag to make pushing easier, highly underrated. AKS74u has the same shots to kill but slower rate of fire along with decent ironsights. AUG gives you a burst option for $2100. AK74M has very low TTK if you can manage the recoil for the same price. Terrorists on full buy are coming at you with 4 shot kill Galils, AKMs and AK12s.

I'll be placing the things sent in on displays in sort of a farmer's market/county fair display thing in the map.
