It was at 40 people for a large portion of the time during NA, unsure how large EU was. Considering it's one of the more niche events I think that's about expected and roughly on par or larger than some of the recent avatar events in a more standard timeslot. Events in general are lower attendance these days because there are less people reading thread, what used to be something resembling a community is largely scattered now among dozens of discords/in game communities, and people are less inclined to creativity in the era of homogenized bases/assets. There really are a very small handful of events that even hit cap these days compared to 3-4 years ago.

Camping and placing houses now fully works in SWG XR meme, down to being able to decorate your house as you remember. You can hitch a flight to Endor, swoop to middle of nowhere, place comfy high-tech field base in da woods and genocide ewoks. Pico 4 absolutely does not get updates now. There are horrible issues that plague it and Pico is gooning for Swan and ignoring issues for a year or more. Issues with steamlink/steamvr for example where it reports bad data.
Hardware wise they are not close. IDK in what you think they are, chip from pico 4 is from 2020 and frame is 2023 and faster besides more efficient. Wireless is newer. Only "close" is display which is same i think 2160x2160.
Other Frame hardware is much newer, like cameras, RAM, sensors....
But yeah- frame will get better, like all linux based devices do, over time. It has hardware that is good enough for a long while

Pico has no horrible issues. SteamLink devs could have rotated the reported velocity Vectors, like all other streamers do, but they just refuse to work on it, not even FBT is passed STILL.

The biggest issue pico 4 has is the random mic delay with pico connect, but its solved by having an app constantly listening to microphone. Othewise pico is rootable and bootloader unlockable, you could port buggy steamos into it.

That's basically nothing, my Prusa's have thousands of hours on them and I've basically done next to no maintenance on them outside of the basics like lube and changing nozzles/hotends. I won't purchase Bambu products out of principle but I can't deny they're the best for plug and play foolproof 3d printing. Seconding this. My mom has huge problems with motion sickness and takes bonine before getting on a boat or plane, or even a really windy car ride. It works great. Never heard of it being used for VR, but I bet it would work just as well.
Pro tip, if you're gonna be drinking in VR while taking bonine, make sure you drink extra water and pace your alcohol consumption, it will hit you harder.

Dead Islands from One Minute to Midnight (EF-24 Campaign). It's the only mission I've played so far par the carrier and default tutorial, was pretty tough without much knowledge, I started out using GBU-39's to clear out the EW radars and missile sites because I didn't quite understand the TSD and the ranges of the AGM-188 but eventually I learned I could actually tell my wingman to do stuff and also realized setting a bunch of GPS targets each try was retarded (they also got intercepted constantly).
Anyways I read up that EF-24 community guide and started using Mid band jamming and DRFM. I also setup my MFD screens to actually be in a usable position, figured out usable weapon ranges and how notching works in this game (I didn't notice the lines on the rwr)
anyways game is kino and its very fun I am pleasantly surprised at the depth too

haven't tried it for dancing, but it's a lightweight headset and has quick swap cushions. The frame lenses sit really close to the eyes, meaning sweaty lenses to wipe off.

Anyone else have slow foveated encoding with the frame? Not obviously broken slow but it's not quite fast enough. Even with my wireless running well and no pink lines on the graph I have good days and bad days with the foveation speed. 120hz improves it but I'm only impressed at 144hz. And streaming doesn't have motion smoothing so its hard to hit those frame rates.
