As a PCVR player who hasn't bought a quest since the Q1 (and never used the Q1 for pcvr) there is something about the Quest 3 that I never realized I would appreciate. Last night I had VRChat idling on my desktop PC in the living room overnight, and this morning I woke up and thought of something I wanted to check in vrc. Then it occurred to me that I could just grab my quest on my night table, open virtual desktop, and instantly be in vrchat in seconds without even getting out of my blankets. I hate being a slave to facebook but that's fucking magical. I have already put my Index into storage and dont expect to ever use it again.

Reddit has a VR dev thing. Not much use beyond showing off or getting ideas. People post their WIPs on all of the VR reddits in hopes of drumming up interest.
There used to be a non-4chan VR dev discord with lots of links but it got deleted and I never found the remake.
I doubt /agdg/ is much use for VR, you'd get better technical discussion here for VR specific mechanics.

It's the same but ymmv since it's basically only really made with quest in mind, you can find some decent community SteamVR bindings and it's a pretty seamless experience. I assume it has crossplay too since I didn't have any problem finding kids to shoot up in opposer VR.
Main problem is that there's not much really worth playing for more than 30 minutes at a time. Mostly hangouts and pointless shooters. The most interesting thing I've seen was a clone of the SCP game.

I've been playing with AI voice changers and RVC merges (w-okada/voice-changer) and just recently discovered the robotranny meme exists here. I did some digging on this general to see if anyone was doing it the same way I am. I found this recent post by a /vrg/ anon >>451473330 (Cross-thread) and am pretty sure this is the best this general has discovered yet. My robotranny voice MOGS xheirs, it's fully passing, has a wide range of emotion, and just sounds like a bad mic due to some advanced noise/postprocessing stuff I do on it in Audacity. Might post a sample if enough people are interested, I can just pass as a w*man and nobody here will know, so I don't want to out myself.

That's there in my real voice sample too, it's because I'm clobbering the bitrate. I've tamed it a bit more in my new voice, but it's still there.

It's generation 3 of a series of merges. The first merge I took 5-6 public voices I found that had good stability and merged them, then I did that again with new voices a couple months later but I included the first merge predominantly, then I did it a third time, each time getting a more stable result and closer to what I want.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that some of the noise cancelling magic I'm doing down the pipeline (not in, but out) cancels out when the AI spergs out. I can make all kinds of crazy mouth sounds and go wild to try and break it, and the broken noises just don't come through, plus the merge itself is extremely stable and includes good breath sounds and fricatives. I can even beatbox through it and it works.

Quest 3 mic quality sucks through airlink (it's a known problem) so that's my goto.
I would post my newer one which sounds much crisper but I want to keep it hidden until I have an even better method.
Conversations are a bit tricky, but my latency is under 1000ms which is fine.

It's hard to insert background hiss into the pipeline before the postprocessing stuff I'm doing since it's done in other software, so it's hard to match the quality of the hiss to the quality of the voice, but I have experimented with that. I've never owned a vr headset and I've been eyeing up the quest 3. I have a 3070 so I can do PCVR when I want, but I figured it'd be better to start with a baby-tier all in one box than dropping 1k+ on a full enthusiast setup. right at the get go.

The massive network delays are partially the game's fault and partially Photon's fault. Has been an issue since the SDK2 days and will probably never be fixed.
That's why I've been saying proper realtime smooth games in Udon will never be possible. In principle the episodes were no different from standard expansion packs and the original Half Life had some excellent ones (comparatively at least). So yeah, we definitely would have gotten something, but the aim of the episodic model was to mimic television. You make the core engine then churn out a season of content over a couple of years, hopefully retaining the bulk of your audience with each release. posts like these make me wonder if people are aware you don't need to block anything, just use the autohide based on distance and number of people. never once has the game turn into a slideshow ever since the festival event we did last year or two. I also don't go to 60-80 pop instances if I can help it though, biggest instances I go to is 20. Even in raves I usually don't struggle much either because I also have my MB size reasonably low at 100.

When you plug them in to charge, when they finish charging, /and/ when you unplug them from charging. Can't keep them from turning on, and have to disable the whole launch-steamvr-when-controllers-turned-on thing to keep them from launching SteamVR.
And guess what SteamVR does when it is launched without an HMD connected because you use VD! Treats the missing HMD as an error and disables your addons on next launch!

I'm not sure if I like KK that much in VR for the actual sex, but using charastudio to view and make scenes is a lot of fun. You can much more easily pose and adjust IK/FK nodes in VR than in Desktop. I don't use ABMX outside of blendshapes so it's perfect for me.

Even on low bitrate the variance in network latency via wifi will fuck up your perfect hits. Wired there's absolute no issue and you can push the bitrate high since you'll always have a perfectly flat added lag which you can offset with 0 issues. Rythm games are the only ones I play wired

To get it set up, just download and extract https://file.vrg.party/EmuVRfull.zip it's the full install with 99% of the stuff we need
